Appointments

Each morning we run an emergency surgery.  This surgery is for patients who feel they are very unwell and cannot wait for a booked appointment.  If you feel you need an emergency appointment we ask you to consider “will I come to any harm by waiting”.  Please telephone before 10am if you feel you need to see the doctor the same day.  You will be given an approximate appointment time, although sometimes the doctor calls patients earlier for medical reasons. If you feel your need is urgent (e.g. chest pain, or a child with a high temperature) please inform the Receptionist.

From October 2017 the Receptionists have been trained to triage the request for all emergency appointments/same day appointments.  They will ask some basic details to enable them to direct you to the appropriate appointments, this may not always be at the Practice we now have "Choose Pharmacy" agreement with local Pharmacist so you may be advised to attend to a Pharmacy rather than a Doctor's appointment.  All emergency/same day appointments will be with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner rather than the Doctor, she will assess you and then if necessary you will be seen by a GP

Routine appointments with the doctor of your choice (subject to availability) can be made by telephone or in person at the surgery at 10am every day.

My Health on Line

We now participate in My Health on Line which gives you the option to make appointments on line and order repeat medication (Please ask at reception for a form if you have not already registered).

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
